Annie E. Casey Foundation KIDS COUNT Site Visits
Several staff members have recently been traveling around the country as part of our work with the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s KIDS COUNT grantees. Associate Joelle Cook and Affiliate Kasey Langley went to Madison, Wisconsin, Jane Reisman and Paula Rowland just returned from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Jane, Joelle and Marshall Brumer made a quick trip to Portland. ORS has provided evaluation technical assistance to KIDS COUNT grantees since 2004. The assistance has included 1) theory of change and theory of action development using outcome mapping, 2) evaluation planning incorporating exiting tracking and new advocacy evaluation data collection techniques, and 3) integrating outcomes-based thinking into the organizational fabric.
Jane Reisman Selected by the United Nations
ORS founder and president, Jane Reisman, was selected by the United Nations' Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS) to be part of a panel of international evaluators that will evaluate the effectiveness of the Office’s processes. Jane traveled to Geneva to plan the evaluation with the panel, and will lead the panel’s data collection in the New York office of the UN. Several ORS staff members have had the opportunity to assist Jane in these efforts, and the whole team is excited by her involvement in this important international work.
